Welcome to the UCLA Olga Radko Endowed Math Circle (ORMC)!

Math Circle Gets a New Name

A substantial lead gift from the long term Math Circle supporter Sierra Chen has established an endowment honoring the late Math Circle's founding director Olga Radko.  Thanks to Sierra's generosity, the Math Circle will now be named the UCLA Olga Radko Endowed Math Circle (ORMC).  

Donations

To ensure long-term stability of ORMC we have launched a fundraising campaign with the goal of bringing the ORMC total endowment to $2,000,000.  UCLA's Dean of Physical sciences will be matching 1:1 all donations up to $250,000 to ORMC endowment through June 30, 2021.

Parent donations are a critical component of our budget.  Donations at the level of $200 per child per quarter are needed to sustain the high quality of our program.  Please consider ORMC as part of your giving plans this season!

Spring Session 2021 Information

  • The first Spring meeting will take place on Sunday, April 4th.  The last meeting will be on June 6th.
  • There will be no meeting on Sunday May 30th (Memorial day weekend).
  • Registration for Spring 2021 is now closed.
  • Enrollments in Olympiad and AMC10/12 training groups will be transferred to the Spring quarter automatically in early April.
  • Spring session meetings will be conducted via ZOOM.
  • For enrolled  students, ZOOM links will be available in your account, next to the name of the group your child is registered in. The ZOOM link will stay the same throughout the Spring session but may have changed from the Winter session.
  • Here are the times classes will meet on Sundays

Recent News

The Math Circle staff are grateful for everyone's support in this difficult time.  We are committed to continuing Olga's Math Circle legacy by ensuring that the Math Circle lives on and thrives.   The Math Circle is now governed by the Steering Committee.  

OMRC student qualifies for USA JMO

Congratulations to Qiao Zhang who qualified for USA Junior Math Olympiad. 

Ten ORMC students qualify for AIME

Congratulations to ORMC students who scored high on AMC10/12:

  • Qiao Zhang, received a perfect score on AMC 10.
  • Qiao Zhang, William Chen, and August Deer each scored in the top 1% in the nation on AMC 10.
  • Hugh Cheng, Kylar Cheng, and Jack Fasching each scored in the top 5% in the nation on AMC 10.

Other ORMC AIME qualifiers included Richard Zhu,  Maria Arakelyan, Joaquin Perkins, and Connor Zhao. 

Congratulations! And a great many thanks to the instructors who helped them prepare for the tests: Aditee Prabhutendolkar, Joy Shi, Alex Pascadi, Ciprian Bonciocat, Jacob Zhang, and Shend Zhjeqi!
